So what could we possibly expect offices to look like in ten years’ time?

Efforts to be more sustainable and eco-friendly will continue because they offer big benefits to employers and employees.

Currently designs are being pushed more by entrepreneurs rather than developers. After-all it is the business owners that are looking to innovate and get advantages over their competition. As a result they could safely be expected to lead the market even more in the future with developers charged with giving life to each vision.

One of the biggest drivers of change over the coming years will be the social agenda. Workplaces are already adapting to be more socially conscious, providing spaces to suit different needs and enhance the wellbeing of inhabitants. With more technology expected to be introduced further social change can occur.

The built environment could change dramatically in the future due to the influence of many new technologies. A great example is 3D printing. With these devices there could be even more chances for customisation and to create spaces that suit various needs.
